EXPORT DOCUMENTS (COMMERCIAL SHIPMENTS ONLY)

  1. Documents that are related to goods being shipped to Saudi Arabia are required to be attested by a local Canadian chamber of commerce or board of trade. This office only legalizes documents pertaining to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 
  2. An export information sheet, E.I.S., (form provided) must be completed fully and accurately, signed and stamped by the company preparing the form. 
  3. Documents that are required for any shipment to Saudi Arabia are not determined by the consular section, however every set of commercial documents for authentication must include at least a commercial invoice and a certificate of origin. 
  4. Documents that are required to be authenticated must be arranged and labeled. 
  5. Copies of all documents are required for the consular section and must be presented attached to the completed EIS. 
  6. Legalization Request Form(C), for the embassy of Saudi Arabian in Ottawa, Canada. (see Form C below). 
  7. Legalization Order and Payment Form (see Form A below). 

DOCUMENTS FOR PETS

Domestic cats and certain breeds of dogs only, are permitted into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Please provide the following documents: 

  1. The original document must be stamped by a Canadian Notary Public, (we can provide this service for you).
  2. The original document MUST be authenticated/legalized by the Global Affairs Canada, authentication department (previously, named as Legal Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada). Plus extra copies of all documents must be submitted with file. 
  3. A certificate pertaining to the details of the birth and ownership of the pet must be prepared and signed by your veterinarian.
  4. A certificate of health from a veterinarian indicating that the pet has no communicable diseases or viruses and that the pet has been vaccinated against rabies and is up-to-date for all inoculations. 
    **Both of the above two documents MUST be stamped by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Legal Division.
  5. A copy of the owner’s iqama /ID, also a copy of the applicant ID if different. 
  6. Legalization Request Form(C), for the embassy of Saudi Arabian in Ottawa, Canada. (see Form C below). 
  7. Legalization Order and Payment Form (see Form A below).

Legalization of Corporate/Business document at the Saudi embassy, such as business registration, agreement, pharmaceutical certificates and, etc.:

  1. The original document must be stamped by a Canadian Notary Public, (we can provide this service for you).
  2. The original document MUST be authenticated/legalized by the Global Affairs Canada, authentication department (previously, named as Legal Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada). Plus extra copies of all documents must be submitted with file.
  3. A copy of company registration in Canada.
  4. A document showing the status/position of the signatory officer, and his/her relation to the company.
  5. If above point is not applicable you must submit a letterhead from the company, requesting the legalization and stating that, the applicant is authorized to apply for the authentication of the document on behalf of the company.
  6. From the Canadian side: a copy of the signatory identification document (such as passport, driver’s license copy).
  7. From the Saudi side: copy of ID, for any individual mentioned in the document.
  8. Legalization Request Form(C), for the embassy of Saudi Arabian in Ottawa, Canada. (see Form C below).
  9. Legalization Order and Payment Form (see Form A below).

Power of attorney for Saudi Arabia

  1. The original document, that signed or certified by Canadian Notary Public or Lawyer MUST be authenticated/legalized by the Global Affairs Canada, authentication department (previously, named as Legal Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada). Plus extra copies of all documents must be submitted with file.
  2. From the Canadian side: a copy of the signatory/principle (the induvial who giving the authority) identification document (such as a copy of His /her passport or driver’s license).
  3. From the Saudi side: copy of ID, for appointee(s). such as copy of passport, National ID card, resident card.
  4. Legalization Request Form(C), for the embassy of Saudi Arabian in Ottawa, Canada. (see Form C below).
  5. Legalization Order and Payment Form (see Form A below).

OTHER DOCUMENTS

All other documents of (CANADIAN ISSUED ONLY) such as:

  • Patent registrations or applications.
  • Birth/marriage certificates (COPY OF PASSPORTS).
  • Letters of experience.
  • Letter of school our university enrollment.
  • Medical reports or school report cards.

Must be submitted for the authentication with following requirements:

DEGREES AND DIPLOMAS (CANADIAN ISSUED ONLY)

  1. The document MUST be authenticated/legalized by the Global Affairs Canada, authentication department (previously, named as Legal Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada).
  2. Must be stamped by The Saudi Cultural Bureau in Ottawa (SCB). (New requirement) The SCB requires a set of original transcripts in an envelope sealed by the issuing institution in order to certify the degree.
  3. Extra copies of all documents must be attached to your covering letter requesting the legalization.
  4. A copy of applicant passport.
  5. A copy of a job offer in Saudi Arabia.
  6. If you are already an iqama holder, working in Saudi Arabia and presenting a Canadian issued degree/diploma, please include a copy of your valid iqama which should include your job title and this must match your degree.

SAUDI DRIVING LICENSE

  • For your Saudi driving license to be accredited in Canada you can provide your Driving record or your Saudi driving license, any one of those documents must be translated to one of the official languages in Canada, then please follow the requirements below.
  • The Embassy of Saudi Arabia will stamp a certified translation of your Saudi Driver’s License or record only, the embassy doesn’t provide a letter or any other documentation.

Authentication requirements for Driving:

  1. Your Saudi Driver’s License must be translated by a certified translator.
  2. The document MUST be authenticated/legalized by the Global Affairs Canada, authentication department (previously, named as Legal Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada).
  3. A copy of applicant’s ID. such as copy of passport, National ID card, resident card.
  4. Extra copy of the document that requested to legalize must be submitted with file.
  5. Legalization Request Form(C), for the embassy of Saudi Arabian in Ottawa, Canada. (see Form C below).
